Abso tells the true story of Bob on the eve of his 50th birthday. He is a lonely lorry driver whom he met at his workplace at the time. With no one to share his life, Bob confides in us about the lack of love he feels, his fear of ending his days alone and the insipid nature of his daily life. Abso approaches this storytelling from an outsider’s point of view, unveiling a sincere and profound track with melancholic notes. It’s a way of raising awareness of the subject of loneliness, of highlighting for once the shadows in which some people survive.

Sometimes it’s possible to establish a strong bond with something to the point where you feel you’re creating a connection with it. The moon stabilises our planet, lengthens our days and produces the tides. It has been there for everything, moving and manifesting itself through its light. It’s almost as if it were alive, which has led to many legends revolving around it. Many have been inspired by her, and Abso is not to be outdone, as he returns to the fray with this new track with mystical echoes and soaring over an instrumental by beat-maker Bearsound that oscillates between energetic trap and deep dub.

I'm a rat

Rats are above all hard-working and ambitious. They’re night owls, resourceful, close-knit with their fellow rats and have very little attachment to social codes. Their ears have been forged by all kinds of musical nuggets, far from the mainstream hits of the surface, from an early age. This careful underground upbringing has been passed down from generation to generation, giving them an undeniable authenticity that comes straight from the ‘sewers’, the name they give to their sector of activity, their playground. Today the information we have on this community is vague, but luckily Abso and Nin’s, members of this movement, have agreed to tell us more thanks to the single ‘I’m a Rat’.
